Chugs can have different looks, depending on the parents. But, if you’re trying to identify one
on the street, it's not too hard: They look pretty much like Pugs crossed with Chihuahuas. The Chug has a small and sturdy
frame covered in a short coat. Its face has those familiar Pug wrinkles, but the snout is slightly longer-like the Chihuahua.
It has sturdy legs, erect ears that tend to hang forward, and a curled tail.
Chihuahua pug, or Chug, is not a breed of dogs, but a hybrid of a chihuahua
and a pug. Therefore these half-bred dogs have inherited the main features of character and appearance from both types of
dog. What are these basic features and how are they combined in a chug dog? Chugs have a more
graceful appearance than pugs. They are not so large as pugs, but bigger than chihuahuas. The body of a chihuahua pug looks no more like a cask, and the muzzle has become more elongate. On the ears, the tail and the breast
there has appeared a fluff typical for chihuahua. Some chugs have inherited long hair all over the body from chihuahuas. Chihuahua
pugs’ ears are neither small nor big and may also be embellished with fuzz. The tail is not so curled as the pugs’
one and it also has long hair. The amount of possible colors has increased, and some of the dogs may combine various colors,
which makes them very attractive.
As you may notice the characters
of chihuahua and pug are similar. Both breeds are considered to be nice friends to people. Therefore the nature of chihuahua
pugs has no discordant features. Chugs are very friendly, lively, joyful, and on the whole, they turn out to be very nice
tiny dogs that combine charm of the two popular dog breeds

About The Little Chug
The Chug, which is a cross between the Chihuahua and the Pug, originated as one of many "hybrid" dogs that became popular during the late 1990s. Many of these canines
were praised for being hypoallergenic and (supposedly) healthier than purebred canines. According to some breeders, the Chug's
energy and enthusiasm come from "hybrid vigor," which is when a healthier dog results from the crossing of two purebreds. Results In First Generation Chugs.

The chug is not a purebred dog
First Generation CHUGS Are a cross between the Chihuahua and the Pug breeds. If you're not familiar with the
chug breed yet, you will be soon. Today, this is one of the most highly demanded breeds.
Because of their size they
make good pets and companions. Chug puppies
easily adjust to new surroundings and climates and will quickly become devoted to all members of the household. Because the
breed is very people oriented, the are attentive and easily trained. Training is easier than in other breeds because of the
Chugs innate intelligence and good memory.
Chug puppies are lively dogs that like to play with each other, as well as other
family members. Early socialization is as important with this breed as it is with others. Incomplete socialization will lead
the dog to be shy and wary of outsiders. Despite their size, Chugs
can make for good watchdogs. Chugs have superior eyesight and hearing making them ideal guardians. They can even recognize
the sound of a different car engine entering the driveway.
